Evolving Mona Lisa

This guy wrote a genetic program (a computer program that uses natural selection to solve problems) that simulated/replicated the Mona Lisa using 50 semi-transparent polygons. I wonder if any human would have been able to figure out how to do that?

Leonardo da Vinci: Saint John The Baptist

This is my favorite painting. It is by Leonardo da Vinci. I don't know where they hang it now in the Louvre Museum in Paris, but it used to be hung right beside the Mona Lisa, so everyone would ignore it.
I think it is the better painting.
Saint John baptized Christ and later had his head cut off for no good reason.
I know he looks like a woman in this painting. That is one of the things I like about it: you can't even tell if it is a man or a woman. It could be anybody.

Max Ernst: Oedipus Rex

For no particular reason, here is a painting called 'Oedipus Rex' (= 'Oedipus The King', in Latin) by the 20th century German artist, Max Ernst (1891 – 1976).

1 million $ trash well, 1,049,000$ to be more exact. One persons garbage is another persons treasure I guess. Expensive piece of junk thought! I also found the Most Expensive Homes in America just go to the slideshow it's the best part.
