507 Mechanical Movements

http://507movements.com/mm_038.html
507movements.com is a cool site that is hosting "an online edition of the classic technical reference Five Hundred and Seven Mechanical Movements by Henry T. Brown [...] published in 1908." The coolest part is that they are animating all the mechanisms so you can see exactly how they work. Not too many are animated yet, but they are coming along. Shown: Number 38, a way of making rotary motion vary in speed during the revolution. Via: BoingBoing
